About GUS
Growth. Unity. Success. Three words, one promise to the young people of Queens.
GUS — Growth, Unity & Success, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving underserved youth and families, ages 8–24, in Jamaica, South Jamaica, South Ozone Park, and the Far Rockaways in Queens, New York. Our community knows us as GUS With Us — and guswithus.org is our official home online.
Our story so far
We were incorporated in New York in 2025 and served roughly 75 young people in our first full year — powered entirely by individual and community donations. We don't operate out of a single building. Our programs meet young people where they already are: in schools and community spaces across Queens, with referrals coming through school counselors and community partners.
What we do
Financial Literacy
Hands-on money and entrepreneurship education inside the worlds kids already love — from Minecraft and Roblox economies to AI and social media.
Clothing Assistance
Clothing collected, professionally cleaned, and set out on racks so families choose what they need with dignity. No application. No means test.
Academic Support
Tutoring, mentorship, and executive-function coaching in small groups, backed by a volunteer corps.
Athletic Development
Basketball, floor hockey, golf, and fitness programming that builds confidence and community.
Vocational Training
Career readiness and certifications for young adults ages 16–24.
