As a school social worker, I am constantly seeking support for my students beyond the four walls of the school. I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of Growth, Unity & Success Inc. Their partnership has provided our students with essential items from school supplies to warm coats ensuring their basic needs are met so they can focus on learning. GUS’s unwavering commitment to community support has made a real difference in our students’ lives, and we are deeply grateful for their generosity and dedication.

GUS has done a tremendous job at providing our scholar with necessary items that helps to improve their quality of life . By providing donations to our scholars for our annual flee market, GUS has injected joy and confidence into the veins of our youth . Sometime the smallest things make the biggest difference. Seeing a student walk upright with confidence because they have a brand new Jordan book bag or Nike sneakers 👟 is evidence of how much of an impact GUS has on the community.

Gus has been one of the most supportive people in my life, especially when it came to my mental health. During times when I was struggling, he didn’t judge or try to “fix” everything—he just showed up, listened, and made sure I knew I wasn’t alone. That kind of consistency and genuine care is rare, and it made a real difference for me.
What stands out most about Gus is how naturally he puts others first. He checks in, he pays attention, and he actually cares about how people are doing beyond just surface-level conversations.
