Terms of Use

Last updated 21 September 2026

This website is operated by GUS Growth Unity & Success, Inc., a New York not-for-profit corporation recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We refer to ourselves here as GUS, we, or us. By using guswithus.org you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

The short version. This site tells you what GUS does, points you toward programs that may help, and lets you give. The Resource Center is a list, not an endorsement, and we do not run the programs on it. This site is not emergency services and nothing on it is medical, legal, or financial advice. Donations are handled by Zeffy or PayPal, and we send the receipt.

What this site is

This site exists to tell you what GUS does, to connect Queens residents with programs and resources that may help them, and to make it possible to support the work. It is an informational site. Using it does not enroll you in a GUS program and does not create any professional, advisory, or service relationship between you and GUS.

The Resource Center

The Resource Center lists government and nonprofit programs that may be useful to people in our community. We choose what to list, we keep it focused on the neighborhoods we serve, and we do not take payment to list anything.

Please understand what a listing is and is not:

  • A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a guarantee.
  • We do not operate, fund, staff, or control the programs we list.
  • Eligibility rules, hours, locations, funding, and availability change without telling us. Confirm the details with the program before you rely on them.
  • We do not guarantee that the information in a listing is current, complete, or accurate.
  • We are not responsible for how a listed program treats you or for any outcome of your contact with it.

If you find a listing that is out of date or wrong, tell us at info@guswithus.org and we will fix it.

This site is not emergency services

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Nothing on this site is monitored in real time. We cannot respond to an emergency, and email sent to us may not be read for hours or days. Please do not use this site, our email, or our social media to report an emergency or a crisis.

This site is not professional advice

The content on this site, including anything in the Resource Center or in our programming descriptions, is general information. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment or diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, or educational placement advice, and it is not a substitute for care or counsel from a licensed professional who knows your situation.

Where GUS programming includes wellness or mental health content, that content is educational and preventive. It is not therapy or clinical treatment.

Donations

You can support GUS through the donation form on this site, which is processed by Zeffy, or through PayPal.

  • GUS is a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 39-2462364. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We do not provide tax advice, so check with your own advisor about your situation.
  • Your receipt comes from GUS. Please keep it for your records.
  • Payment card details are handled by our payment processors. GUS never sees or stores your full card number.
  • If you set up a recurring gift, it continues until you cancel it. You can cancel any time by writing to info@guswithus.org or through the processor’s own tools, and we will confirm the cancellation.
  • Donations are generally not refundable, because they are gifts rather than purchases. If you made a mistake, contact us within 30 days and we will work it out with you in good faith.
  • If a donation is designated for a specific program, we honor that designation. If that program ends or is fully funded, we will apply the gift to the closest related purpose and we will tell you.

Our fundraising is registered with the New York State Attorney General’s Charities Bureau. A copy of our latest annual report may be obtained from us at the address below, or from the Office of the Attorney General, Charities Bureau, 28 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10005.

Program enrollment

Programs are not enrolled through this website. Enrollment happens in person or through a partner school or organization, and it requires the signed consent of a parent or guardian for any participant under 18. Nothing you submit through this site enrolls anyone in anything.

Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect identifying information from a child through guswithus.org. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to info@guswithus.org and we will delete it.

Using the site

Please do not:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or any system connected to it
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the Resource Center or other site content for commercial use
  • Send us malware, spam, or automated bulk messages
  • Impersonate GUS or suggest an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist

We provide this site as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of anything harmful, and we do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of anything on it, including the Resource Center.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GUS and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or from your contact with any program listed on it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
